It's been just over a year since the great South Jordan school teacher died while jogging.  This was the 2nd race in his honor.  There was about 100 runners.  The course starts at the Elkridge middle school were he taught for many years and goes around the grass field were he would have the kids run and then out onto the streets and back to the middle school.

I had decided to try and give this race a very good effort, I was going to run my race and run hard no matter what place I was in.  When the race started I went out and was in the front pack and after the lap on the grass I was in first with a couple of guys right behind me.  After mile one I still had one guy on my tail and I slowly pulled away from him about half way into the run.  I ended up winning by about 30 seconds.  My watch and a few others that ran all measured about 3.2.  I ran it in 20:13 but adusted my time to 3.11 miles.

Dallas, Tanner, & Taunia all ran with Jamie and Amber also.

Mile 1 6:24,  Mile 2 6:30,  Mile 3 6:06,  Final 0.39
