Afternoon run, partly sunny, temp. 65'

I couldn't get out tell 2:30 this afternoon, to many fires to put out.  As soon as I started running I could tell my 2 mile tempo run would be tough.  I wanted to run the miles under 6 minutes.  I ran about 2.5 miles then I started the tempo run.  The first mile felt good with a 5:56 but I could tell the 2nd mile was going to hurt.  I push hard and ran a 5:54 which I then immediatly went to a 10+ minute mile pace for the next quarter mile trying to recover.  I'm sure 2 sub 6's are probably a little faster than I should be running for a tempo run but it felt good to know I could do it.

Time 36:53,  Mile avg. - 7:15

Good job Terry keeping the miles under 6. You know if I could convince you to train like I've been training I think you could run a sub 2:40 at SGM.
