Morning run, temp 25'

My legs were feeling ok but not great but today seemed like a good day for a 3 mile tempo run.  I decided I wanted to give myself a goal of 6:15 mile avg. that I new I could achieve.  I also wanted to finish the last mile strong even if it hurt because I wimped out the last mile of the 10K a couple of Saturdays ago.  I ran a 6:14, 6:06, 6:11.  The 2nd mile is slightly down and the last mile is slightly uphill.  I was happy with the times.

The base of my third toe still aches.  I'm guessing it is either a stress fracture, nerve problem, or tendon problem.  Anyway, I can stand the pain but it takes away a little from the runners high.  For now I'm going to keep running on it unless it gets worse.

Miles 7.0,  Time 47:20, Mile avg. - 6:46

Noon run, Temp 38'

Today is the only day this week that a 2 a day will work so I ran at lunch.

Miles 8.6,  Time 68:15,  Mile avg. - 7:56

Nice job on the tempo Terry. I know it's pretty tough to hit any decent pace in the cold AM hours.

Good luck with the weird toe thing.

Big mileage today. Good Job.

Is this the type of toe issue you're having?

Cal,

I'm assuming I have Metatarsalgia.
