Noon run, Sunny, Temp 75'

After a fast Monday and a hard Tuesday I took Wedesday off because I don't have any more races lined up this year.  I was hoping my legs would be fresh today but they still were not 100%.  Also my left hip is still aching just a little.

I went out slow and after a couple miles picked up the pace just a little.  I saw Cal running the other way on the path.  Cal is by far the fastest Clysdale on the bath.  You still 200+ Cal?

Clydesdales are fine animals. But even though I could usually qualify, I never enter races in that division.

Plus, through some diligence over the past 5 weeks, I'm down a few pounds. Just in time for St. George!

Taking a day off like that is not a good idea. One reason for injuries is the mentality of training for a race, and slacking off when there is none in sight. Train for fitness, race to prove it. Train more, not less, when there is no race, because you do not have to taper/recover.
