Noon run, sunny, temp 45'

I decided to run at race pace to see what kind of shape I'm in.  I was hoping for 7 even or better but really didn't know what to expect.  My 1st mile was the fastest at 6:31, and the last was the slowest at 6:55.  I pushed hard.  It is draining the have to keep telling your body not to slow down.  My left quad which is my weak link started complaining a little near the end.

Time 47:14,  Mile avg. - 6:45

Dang Terry looks like the speed is coming back. 6:45 for 7 is awesome. I think this just about puts you in I-can-now-beat-Tom level of fitness.

I was happy about staying under 7. However, I don't think I could push a fast run like that if I was running 65 miles a week unless I did a mini 3 day tapper. I'm still not sure if I'm at the beat Tom level.

Nice speed there Terry.
