Morning run, temp. 33'

Nice and dark this morning due to daylight not-savings time.  I decided to run one mile at what I thought should be half marathon pace.  It felt great for the first half a mile then it got a little harder towards the end.  I can see I haven't run enough at the faster pace or I'm not in the shape I'm hopeing to get into by April 4th.

Time 45:45,  Mile avg. - 7:38

Terry my attempts at HMP tempo runs haven't gone so well either the last couple of weeks. Looking at the Provo 1/2 course (I entered it into the Course Tool), I'm not feeling so confident about a sub 1:30. Maybe more like 1:32-1:33. But then again maybe some magic will happen the next 3 weeks and it will be better than I'm thinking. My current thoughts are to go out around 7-min pace and see what happens.

Hope your heel gets feeling happier.

I'm hoping for a little race day magic myself. running a quasi out and back course with the back having a slight incline sounds challenging.

Oh also Kim wanted me to mention to you that if you want to stay at our house the night before the race that would be just fine and dandy. She said even if you want to bring the whole fam that would be a-ok.
