Ragnar WBR - Leg 21, 10 miles, time 73:17.  Started at 12:25am.  Great temperature of about 53' and no moon but plenty of stars.  This run was run on about half dirt road most of which was fairly good but some of it was rutty and bumpy.  My left quad was acting up a bit like it wanted to cramp. Dumb leg.  I had 75 kills which was fun.

Mile avg. - 7:19

Ragnar WBR - Leg 34,  3.97 miles with an elevation gain of 1698 feet, time 39:59.  Started at 10:50am.  Sunny with a temperature of about 65'.  This was the first year that this leg was paved.  Much nicer to not have to run in the dust of all the cars.  I was hoping to get under 10 minute miles but didn't quite make it.  I had only 14 kills.  I think we finally got ahead of most of the slower teams.  I did finally get taken down by a Weber State cross country runner on this leg.  Dallas was the only one on our team that never got passed.  I however had a total of 122 kills and he got 116, so at least I beat him on kills.  He's getting pretty fast.

Mile avg. - 10:04

Our team came in 63rd place of the 798 coed teams or in the top 8%.  We came in 111th place of the 1,066 teams of 12.  It was a fun time and Ragnar did a great job again.

It seems that our team (South Jordan Slackers) keeps coming in a better place compared to the rest of the teams each year but our team isn't getting any faster.  I'm guessing that the more competitive people don't enjoy this race as much as the more social runners so that more teams are less worried about time and come out to do it for the social reasons and thus the average team time is getting slower.

Sounds like fun again Terry! That is great that Dallas was on your team and that he continues to do so well with the running! You have taught him well!

I'm sure you are busy with the countdown to Tanner! That is always a fun time to get everything ready for the missionary to come home!
