The South Jordan Slackers had another successful Wastach Back Relay!  Around 29 hours 20 minutes.  We started Friday at 10AM and finished Saturday at 3:20PM.  I'm on a great team of neighbors and we have a lot of fun.

I had leg 3 and my awesome running son Dallas had Leg 4.  After the fiirst 2 legs Dallas had 58 kills and I had 54.  However, my last leg was 7.7 miles and Dallas's was only 3.8 miles.  Dallas added 49 kills to get to 107 total but I was able to get 62 kills to get to 116.  Dallas never got passed but I did get pass once.

I did have to finish the last 4 miles of leg 25.  Andrea's knee just wouldn't keep going.  We had fun eating, running, trying to sleep, going to cabins, playing ping pong, riding scooters etc...

Leg 3 - 5.58 Miles, Mile avg. - 6:30    Elev Gain 233

Leg 15 - 5.04 Miles, Mile avg. - 6:42    Elev Gain 56

Leg 25 - 4 Miles, Mile avg. - 7:08   Elev Gain 55

Leg 27 - 7.68 Miles, Mile avg. - 6:56   Elev Gain 616, Loss 730, Net -114

Total Time 2:31:48,  Mile avg. - 6:49

Team came in 190th out of 1,005 teams (top 19%).  Ultra Teams excluded.

Team came in 135 out of 823 mixed teams (top 17%).

Sounds like a dandy time Terry. Congrats to you and Dallas and your team. Looks like you were just a few minutes faster than our team. Man that's a whole lot of road kills!
