Noon run, sunny, temp. 73'

Nice Autumn day for a run.  My throat was only about half as sore this morning as it has been in the last few days.  Hopefully, I'm on the downward end of the sore throat.

Reading all the great success stories of the SGM and following Tom and Logan as they have progressed this year makes me want to train better next year and see if I can get a PR in the marathon.  We'll see if the enthusiam makes it through the winter months.

Terry I think you should just train the way you've been training and do SGM. Have no fear that me or Paul or some other slow relay teammate might kick your behind :)

OK Tom and Terry, I see a little rival going on here!

From Paul T on Tue, Oct 09, 2007 at 17:30:21

Hmmm. Terry's marathon PR is 2:47. I dropped from 3:27 to 3:07 this year, 20 minutes. Time for a little math...3:07 - 20 minutes = (calculating)...what do you know!...2:47. Hmmm. Sounds like a good stretch goal.

Tom didn't run SGM this year, but he's in sub-3:00 shape right now. Nathan ran 3:07 on minimal training and is pretty fired up to go sub-3:00 as well. If the three of us unite in pursuit of beating Terry and push each other...maybe...just maybe...

Somehow I don't think I'm inspiring much fear in Terry, more like "sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal".

I made it 0.2 miles on the treadmill today at about a 12:00 minute pace. A journey of a thousand miles begins with the first step.

My fastest marathon in the last 4 years is a 3:09. When I hear three people on the relay team may be shooting for a sub-3 in 2008 I'm a little nervous but more excited to train well so I can keep up with this fast group.
