Morning run 5:45am up and down Butterfield Canyon.  12 miles at 8:16 mile pace.

Stake 5K at 8:00am.  There were about 60 runners that showed up.  I ran behind a couple of runners for the 1st half mile.  I needed to get warmed up after already running 12 miles, then I decided to push the pace.  Luckily the teenager that was in second place followed me when I picked up the pace making me run even harder.  He fell back after about a mile.  As I was finishing the last mile I was pleased to notice I wasn't dead tired and my legs were still feeling strong.  Good to know I could go even faster.

I got a 19:40  or about a 6:20 mile pace.

Hey, we had a stake 5k, too! Luckily our winner was not as fast as you and I could actually see him!! You are fast, especially after the 12 miles UP and down Butterfield Canyon. I hate that run!

Simply AMAZING!

Terry I wasn't going to be all that impressed with the 19:40 at first but then I saw you did it after already running 12 canyon miles. Nice job!
