Morning run, Breezy, Temp 50'

This was my first 40+ miles/week since August.   If I'm going to run a marathon on my Birthday  in April next year I've got to start putting in more 40+ mile weeks.  This morning I felt great and I started running good right from the start.  I averaged 7:30 miles on the 1st 5 miles that are slightly up hill, then I turned around and ran a 6:13, 6:18, 6:24.  After 3 fast miles my legs told me that it would be wise to slow down,  The legs were starting to hurt.  I really didn't want to slow down because I was on pace to do sub 7 minute miles, but way back in the background I could faintly hear Sasha telling me to do the smart thing.  I slowed down a bit and my legs thanked me.  Today I didn't feel old until mile 8.  Also, the back was hurting a lot last night but it was gone for this mornings run.  Lucky.

Time 70:43,  Mile avg. - 7:00

Hey I think I may be seeing a little flicker of the old running machine Terry! We'll make sure to watch you mileage close and see if we can help out with keeping th 40+ weeks going thru the winter.

BTW Kim doesn't approve of us complaining about age-related pains. She thinks we sound like 80 yr old grumpy men or something.
