Noon run, partly sunny, temp 58'

The back is still hurting.  Just tried to get out without getting re-injured. I'm running a little different due to the pain.  Hope it won't flare up an injury somewere else.  I was glad to be done.  It's no fun feeling pain every step.

I was hoping to get some good weeks in before the Provo City half.  But I'll just be glad to finish at this point. This should make an interesting race between me and Tom.

I wrapped my back with an ace bandage and went for a jog.  I started slow but realized the back pain wasn't any worse when I picked up the pace except going down hill, so I picked up the pace.  My back is feeling better every day.

Very near a perfect day for long distance running.  Back hurting less every day.

I felt a little run down today.  I had to push to get under 8 minute miles.

Afternoon run, sunny, very windy, temp. 70'

I played in a ward basketball region game at 11:30 AM and we went into overtime and lost.  I had a lot of energy but my shoting wasn't on.  So what better to do before our stake conference leadership meeting at 4PM then do a 10 mile jog.  The jog went well and I decided to do the last mile at half marathon pace.  After .65 miles into it my left quad started cramping.  I had to stop and let it rest.  That doesn't give me a great assurance that I can run a half marathon in two weeks.

The back is almost all better.
