There must be some chemical that doesn't release as easy when you go running if you don't get enough sleep or you work to many hours in front of the computer.

I felt a lot better than Friday and Saturday but I still need a little more mental recovery.  At mile 2.5 I ran a fast 6:00 minute mile and at mile 5.5 I ran 6:45.   My tendon-buttitis always feels the best on Mondays when I haven't been sitting down much over the weekend.

Noon run on dirt path.  I dusted off my heart rate monitor and decided to see how fast I could run 10 miles if I ran at 145 bpm.  I didn't start looking at it until mile 2.  I ran the 1st 5 miles in 38:00 and the next 5 miles at 39:45.   I was getting tired of speeding up and slowing down to try to stay near 145.  I don't think I'll try that again soon.

Sunny, no wind, temperature in the low 40's.

I've been trying to run a lot of easy miles as I work back up to higher mileage.  I was hoping I'd be fresh on this nice day and push the pace a little but that wasn't the case.  This was the first time this year I've run the day after a 10 mile run and my legs were not soar they just were not fresh.  Anyway, I listened to my body and just ran easy again.

Morning run with slight breeze and temps at about 40'

I started off slow getting the legs warmed up and before I new it I was feeling good, probably because I didn't run yesterday.  Anyway, I was trying to think of a way to avoid Sasha's advice of building up mileage before adding tempo runs and speed work and I decided since I wasn't going to Boston I'd dedicate this run to the Boston Runners from UT and run at or a little faster than my marathon pace.  Sasha couldn't be displeased with such love for fellow runners.  Anyway it felt good to push the pace and feel the legs getting a bit tired near the end.  All miles near 7 minute pace with the last one at 6:30.
