Unfortunately, I coughed up a few good flem balls on my run today.  My throat has been congested a little yesterday and more today.  Hopefully, this wont be a problem for the marathon.

It was a great morning for a marathon, temperatures around 50 and almost no wind and a little bit of off and on cloud cover.  Unfortunately, I was in the middle of a cold so I wasn't feeling good.

The first few miles felt OK but I could tell it wasn't going to be the perfect day.  My energy level was down just a bit.  It was still a fun run and I was able to push pretty hard.  Around mile 18 I had the signs of a stight muscule cramp, so I knew I better not push it to hard.  The last few miles the cramps got worse but I was able to push through them without them shutting me down.  I was suprised that I only got passed by one person the last 7 or 8 miles. I thought since I slowed down just a bit I'd get passed but I pass several people.

I came in 3rd of 53 in my Age division.  The statistic I like best is that I'm 49 and the oldest person to beat me was 45, so I won the 46 and older race!    I came in 36 of 874 total runners with 517 male finishers.
