Morning run, breezy, temp 72'

On my way to Bingham highs track to do a 3 mile tempo run  I could tell I was tired and there wasn't any spring in my step.  I considered just doing a easy run and try the tempo run tomorrow but luckily I talk myself into running a tempo run even if it would be slow.  I like to run the 3 mile tempo run at 6 minutes even but I thought that if I did 6:15's today it would be a good day.  It was a hot morning but luckily the big infield sprinklers were on and they hit me about every other time around the track which felt good even though my shoes and socks got a little wet.  I ran a 6:05, 6:15, 6:03.  I enjoy the speedworkouts at the track much more when it is light enough to see.  Oh well that short season only lasts a month or two.

Time 78:00,  Mile Avg. - 7:30

Terry did you slack a little today? Not even a single sub-6 mile....I don't know if that's going to cut it.

I got an email from Bob (maybe you did too) saying that he ran a 19:18 flat 5K. Sounds like he may give me a run for the money at the next race.

I need a Michelle to tell me I did a good workout even if I slacked a bit.

You better watch out for Bob. He has a competitive desire that sometimes gets him motivated to workout well and run good races.

Yeah I think maybe Steph didn't approve of Bob letting me beat him by as far as I did at Bryce and she's putting on the pressure for him to step it up.
