Saturday Morning run, temp 65'

Last long run before the Provo half next week.  My idea was to run the 1st 8 miles easy and the last 5 mileas at near half marathon race pace.  My plan was working fine.  I passed the 8 minute man at about mile 8.5 and left him in the dust.  I was hoping to get around 6:15-6:20 pace the last five miles but I ended up with 6:38 pace.  I always hope I'm in better shape than I am.  I haven't paid the price this year.  Oh well, it will make racing against my good bud Tom more exciting.

Time 1:42:45,  Mile avg. - 7:27

Looks like good miles to me. Can't wait to see how the showdown turns out.

Terry, you are sounding super strong. I wish I was running the half with you next week but I went to sign up to late. Are you planning on doing that Marathon Relay again this year?

I haven't talk to my neighbors that I ran it with last year about doing it again. But I hope to run the relay.

I hear you about hoping I'm in better shape than I am, and not paying the price this year. I'm not sure I have much of a chance of matching my performance last year at the Provo River half, but it will be an adventure finding out. It should be a good day for a run. I hope to see you there.
